Biography

Duran is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer. His work in the electronic music genre incorporates elements of rap and R&B, playfully stretching the boundaries of the electro sound. The music speaks boldly, painting lush atmospheric soundscapes. A Detroit native, Duran grew up immersed in R&B and gospel music. The rich musical history of Motown fostered his appreciation of great vocals and attention to craft. At Columbia College Chicago, studying music production, he was surrounded by new and unique styles of music. Experimentation became key to his artistic voice and has resulted in the fresh perspective we hear today. Duran feels empowered by the passion that making music gives him. He hopes that his music can be a mirror for people and lead to self-reflection and evolution. Look out for his first EP coming this Spring.
